The Once and Then

I once was their favourite

The smartest, the cleverest, the favoured;

Only when I started to speak the truth

Blurting what I believe since my youth;

I am their most feared nightmare

The worst, the creepiest, the dreaded scare.

I once was them,

Today, I am all to be blamed.
